Butterfly Shade
ca. 1898
ORIGINAL COLLECTION
This rare shade is one of only six known surviving examples. It is all the more exceptional because the butterflies’ wings shimmer with delicately-patterned iridescent glass. The shade was designed to be paired with a glass mosaic base decorated with yellow primroses.
